Pembs 2015

Some late entries saw the number of players reach 43 at the Pembroke Shuttles with the under 15 and Under 17 boys being very competitive with big pools and lots of play for everyone.

Saffron Morris continued her dynamic form with another win at under 11 to make it five in a row.  She also completed a double with sister Isabella in the under 13 doubles beating Chloe Douglas and Cherisse Lau in a close three setter.  An excellent result considering Chloe and Cherisse have won Gold in the last three tournaments against them.  Also in the singles, Jasmine Owen won her second silver in three tournaments.

Ben Phillips continued his dominance at under 15 level with four golds and doubles gold with under 13 partner Max Williams.  Between them they have notched up two golds and two silvers in four doubles events and now are dead level with Tobias Friedl and Fraser Wilde at the top of the rankings.

In the Under 17s, Brandon Evans has taken gold at the last four tournaments beating William Hughes in the previous final but William had revenge at his home tournament as he beat Brandon 15 -8, 15-13 in the semi final and went on to beat his own doubles partner Tomos Jones in the final, 15 - 10, 16 - 14.

Not to be outdone in the revenge stakes - Brandon and partner  Lewis Williams then had the final word as they took the gold in the doubles against William and Tomos to finish the tournament.
