Club Accreditation

Badminton Wales' club accreditation programme was introduced in 2006/7 for both senior and junior clubs. Based on the club models the programme concentrates on assisting clubs to reach specific standards at each level. The funding is used to assist the training of volunteers and coaches at the clubs as well as providing an incentive package for clubs to develop.

Badminton Development Coordinators will closely work with the clubs to develop various elements of the club programme in order to achieve the desired levels. Once satisfied the Badminton Development Coordinator will submit the application to Badminton Wales.

Clubs achieving the BRONZE level will receive a certificate, a £250 grant together with continued support from the Badminton Development Coordinator and also publicity through the Badminton Wales website.

Clubs achieving the SILVER level will receive a certificate and a £500 grant along with additional benefits and publicity.

GOLD clubs will receive a certificate and a £500 grant along with additional benefits.

Any club interested in becoming an accredited club should download the appropriate club model and then contact their local Badminton Development Coordinator. If your area is currently without a Badminton Development Coordinator, please contact the Badminton Wales office.
